School Closing Procedures

Occasionally, severe weather makes it necessary to suspend school for a day.  When this occurs, it will be announced on radio stations KMOX (1120 AM) and WBGZ (1570 AM) and television stations KTVI (Channel 2), KMOV (Channel 4), and KSDK (Channel 5), our district website, and the telephone communication system.

Students and parents should refrain from calling school officials to see if there will be school since the phone must be kept open for emergency calls.  Please check the website at www.bethalto.org.

If bad weather develops during the day, and it becomes necessary to dismiss school early, the Principals will use their best judgment for the safety and welfare of the pupils.  Younger students are not sent home before the regular dismissal time unless there is reasonable assurance that a parent is at home during the day.  It is suggested that you discuss with your child what should be done if school is dismissed early.

Parent Survey

We are conducting a survey of our parents to help us in our improvement planning for the upcoming year.  It will provide valuable feedback to the District.  The survey is short and should only require about 5-10 minutes to complete.  We would appreciate your feedback.  The survey can be found by clicking "Survey" below.  Thank you in advance for helping us gather this information.
